Walking in Nottinghamshire is a web site which lists hundreds of walks which can be downloaded and printed free of charge. For ideas for walks see www.walkinginnotts.co.uk
Another walk planner is called " hikideas" which you can view and create walks over an Ordnance Survey map for free. It provides key information such as distance and elevation. People can also print out the walk and download a GPX file for use with GPS devices if wanted. To do this you do need to register your email but it is free. See www.hikideas.co.uk/walk-planner.html.
The Notts Wolds Way is a new linear path of 26 miles within the Rushcliffe area which has been set up by the Nottinghamshire Footpaths Preservation Society with the support of Nottinghamshire County Council and with the aid of a grant from Ramblers Holidays Charitable Trust (RHCT).
